ABOUT THE CAROLYN MEMORIAL

A graduate of Woodbury College in California, Shamis founded Carsha Inc. in 1973 after rising to the level of national sales representative for Merle Norman Cosmetics. She later furthered her ability to sell and promote products as a sales director for the Fairmount Hotel in Dallas.

Shamis then earned her real estate license and went into the commercial leasing sector. Her first year in commercial real estate resulted in the completion of $5 million in leases.

Known for her glamour and elegance, Shamis was never shy about reaching out with confidence to grow Carsha into a firm known for handling multimillion-dollar real estate transactions in areas such as Highland Park, University Park, Preston Hollow and North Dallas.

Shamis also was the exclusive agent selected to sell buildings including La Tour Condominiums, Rawlins Square Townhomes, 1501 Elm and Centrum Towers.
